WHAT TO EXPECT
1
GETTING STARTED
Prior to your intake session, you will receive a link to create an account with EMR-Bear, our secure online client portal. Through this system, you can complete your intake paperwork at your convenience which will provide us with information about yourself that you want to share in advance. Your therapist will review this before your first session.
2
INITIAL INTAKE
During your first session, your initial intake, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, what your life currently looks like, and what your goals and hopes are for therapy. We will decide during your initial intake session what frequency of appointments makes sense for your unique situation and adjust periodically as needed. You and your counselor will discuss a plan for your therapy which will be reviewed periodically during your treatment.
THERAPY
After your initial intake, Individual Sessions are 50 minutes and typically occur weekly or every other week. Additionally, we can coordinate your care with other providers you might be working with, such as your primary care doctor, psychiatrist, naturopath, or physical therapist. This communication is by no means required, but can offer all of your providers a more holistic picture of you so that you are fully supported in healing.
