My Approach To Therapy
Welcome! My name is McKeon and I am from the Diné Nation. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) working towards clinical practice in Art Therapy. I believe in practices rooted in harmony, balance, and ancestral knowledge as a therapist of color. I think cultivating space for a healthy, strong, and trusting therapeutic relationship is essential to the healing process. My work with you will include evidence-based interventions, mind-body connection, and mindfulness with a holistic approach in combination with community-based work, especially for clients dealing with identity loss and grief. I am passionate about using creativity in the therapeutic process to help you develop alternative ways of viewing the world we live in and finding different ways to thrive. I believe continuing to learn is part of life’s journey and I am committed to continuous practices of growing knowledge to strengthen connections in the community.
