Michelle Lowden, CCSS
(She/Her)

Michelle Lowden is a multidisciplinary artist based in the Pueblo of Acoma, NM. Michelle began working to honor her heritage through art when she started Milo Creations in 2009, which has grown from creating Acoma-influenced jewelry to offering products such as wool blankets, silk scarves and graphic work. Michelle later joined the Acoma Health and Human Services Division (HHSD) where she served as a Cultural Liaison and most recently Program Coordinator. During her time with HHSD she coordinated and managed Federal grants to support infant and early childhood mental health. She balances her time between graphic design and creating public works while also promoting optimal health and wellbeing by restoring traditional farming practices and land-based teachings in her community.
